Silvatec™ working Demonstration

Silvatec™ soap works by depositing silver onto the skin from the active material within the soap. Silver effectively kills bacteria so the presence of silver will help to reduce levels of transient bacteria. The white areas are atomic silver.

Evidence of Antimicrobial Action in Silvatec™

The image shows Staph. Aureus inoculated onto a slide and viewed using light microscopy.
The bacteria are stained with a fluorescence stain. Bacterial viability stains allow a two colour fluorescence green (for viable i.e. live organisms) and red (for dead cells) using a single wave length to view under.

We can just see red cells ( dead bacteria ) beginning to appear as the Silvatec™ action starts.

Here we can see the bacteria dying off with the red stained cells showing up. This after approximately 2 minutes.

More red cells showing through as Silvatec™ continues its bacterial kill.

Even more dead red cells.

After approximately 6 minutes almost all the bacteria are dead . This is the 99.9% activity level.
